Alvin and The Chipmunks

They first started out in 1959 on a TV show. They were little puppets and David Seville was an actor who talked to them. Then they became a cartoon show and continued on until about 1990. And somewhere in it the Chipettes arrived and they made it much more colorful! But the '80s is what we all remember the most!

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore were abandoned on Dave's doorstep because of he harsh winter by they're mother named, Vinnie. They have been living in Dave's cabin for a long time. One day, Dave was working on a new song on his piano. Wishing to help Dave, the baby chipmunks wrote the song and taped it. But as they tried to send it in the mail, Dave's coldhearted landlord kidnapped them and sent them to the zoo to be snake food. After feeding the snaking and singing it to sleep, they ran to the radio station and played the tape on the radio. At that time Dave was they're talking to his boss who over hears the music and gets surprised about how many phone calls he got from radio fans. Dave finds the chipmunks and ends up getting a huge raise. After that they lived in a nice home in the city, where they started they're music officially.

The Chippettes were raised in a foster home as babies with they're friend, Livia. The 3 girls would help her with her chores and sing. One day, one of the other girls at the foster home heard the Chippettes sing. Her name was Eva and she was a mean girl. She makes Livia give up her special bracelet so she wouldn't tell the foster keeper, Ms. Grudge about the girls. She eventually tells anyway. Eventually, Livia ends up finding some parents who want to adopt her, but when she looks for the baby chipmunks, they were tied and gagged in a vent. Livia feels sad thinking that the 3 ran away, so she goes away with her new foster parents. The chipettes untie themselves and they escape the clutches of Ms. Grudge by going to the port in the pouch of the foster home's pet kangaroo, Wendy. They end up working at a restaurant till they hit 9 yrs old. To look for a good singing job, they run into an entertainment man at a hotel in California and that is how they became big stars.
